Tropical

A tropical region is an area of the Earth located near the equator, characterised by warm temperatures throughout the year. These regions typically have high humidity and receive abundant rainfall, often in the form of heavy tropical downpours. Tropical regions are known for their lush vegetation, diverse ecosystems, and rich biodiversity. Examples of tropical regions include the Amazon rainforest in South America, the Congo Basin in Africa, and Southeast Asia.

The size of tropical regions can vary, but they generally span the area between the Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn. These are imaginary lines located approximately 23.5 degrees north and south of the equator, respectively. The total area covered by tropical regions is significant, encompassing large portions of continents in Africa, South America, Central America, Southeast Asia, and parts of Oceania. This expansive zone is home to a wide range of ecosystems, from lush rainforests to tropical savannas and coastal mangroves.
